Our client is a premier real estate and property development firm specializing in value-add opportunities, sustainable growth, and asset optimization. His approach integrates Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) strategies across all projects, ensuring long-term resilience and alignment with evolving sustainability standards.
Functie
ESG Strategy Implementation
- Develop and integrate ESG frameworks into project workflows, aligning with industry best practices and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with sustainability consultants, engineers, and stakeholders to achieve environmental performance targets, including energy efficiency and carbon reduction.
- Monitor and report ESG-related KPIs, ensuring compliance with investor, regulatory, and company expectations.
- Drive initiatives for green building certifications such as BREEAM, LEED, and WELL.
On-Site Project Management
- Oversee daily construction activities to ensure adherence to project timelines, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and consultants to address challenges and enhance site efficiency.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential issues and implement corrective measures.
- Ensure ESG requirements are incorporated into procurement, materials selection, and operational practices.
Stakeholder Engagement & Reporting
- Serve as the primary contact for all ESG-related site activities, reporting directly to senior management.
- Prepare and present progress reports to internal and external stakeholders, including investors and regulatory bodies.
- Engage with tenants and community groups to promote sustainability initiatives and enhance environmental awareness.
Profiel
- Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
- Over 5 years of experience in project engineering or construction management, with a strong focus on ESG initiatives.
- Proven ability to implement sustainability measures in construction or commercial property development.
- Experience with projects requiring green certifications (e.g., BREEAM, LEED, WELL) and ESG compliance.
- Strong knowledge of Belgian and EU sustainability regulations, as well as local construction codes and standards.
- Fluency in English and Dutch; French is a plus.
