Are you passionate about sustainability and eager to drive meaningful change in a commercial environment? We are looking for a Commercial Sustainability Manager to lead sustainability initiatives across Northern Europe, collaborating with key customers and internal teams to integrate sustainability into our business strategy.
Your impact, as the Commercial Sustainability Manager, you will:
- Lead strategic sustainability projects with key accounts such as Albert Heijn, Carrefour, and Colruyt, ensuring seamless execution and measurable impact.
- Engage with key customers, leading sustainability discussions and identifying joint collaboration opportunities.
- Equip commercial teams with pep+ (our sustainability framework) knowledge through training, best practice sharing, and capability-building.
- Support sustainability leadership by tracking and reporting key sustainability metrics, including progress on sustainable packaging, Nutri-Score, and value chain initiatives.
- Drive internal engagement, working closely with communications teams to promote sustainability within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Equip commercial teams with pep+ (our sustainability framework) knowledge through training, best practice sharing, and capability-building.
- Develop and execute sustainability projects with key retail partners, integrating sustainability into joint business planning.
- Support sales teams in embedding sustainability into customer strategies, including portfolio discussions, supply chain emissions reduction, and long-term sustainability commitments.
- Act as the primary contact for commercial sustainability, collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to develop and implement sustainability initiatives.
- Track and measure progress, ensuring sustainability efforts align with business goals and deliver tangible results.
- Lead employee engagement programs on sustainability, ensuring awareness and participation across the organization.
Qualifications
- Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving skills, and a results-driven mindset.
- Excellent customer-facing skills, including communication, networking, and stakeholder management.
- Ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical skills and project management expertise.
- Fluency in Dutch and English, with exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
- Passion for sustainability, prior knowledge is a plus, but a willingness to learn technical climate and supply chain topics is essential.
- Ability to leverage sustainability initiatives, positioning them as a value proposition for customers and as part of our employer branding.
