Senior Accounting Manager – International Start up – ESG Our client is an industrial start-up active in the recycling of chemical waste.

In order to support their growth and match their high ambitions, we are currently looking for a Senior Accounting Manager who will build the finance team in Belgium and run the day-to-day finance operations.

Their headquarters are based in Brussels.

Job Description

Senior Accounting Manager – International Start up – ESGAs the Senior Accounting Manager, you will be the first financial person in Belgium and report to the Group CFO.

Your main tasks will consist in :

• Supervising the financial activities for the 3 companies of the group (HQ, holding, plant)
• Being in charge of the accounting & tax aspects (closing activities, financial statements, VAT, corporate tax & other tax requirements) following the Belgian regulations
• Managing a team of 3 accountants (currently located abroad)
• Preparing the annual budget & forecasts for the 3 companies
• Managing the payroll with the local HR providers
• Acting as point of contact for the External Auditors
• Putting in place good processes and participating to the implementation of tools
• Further building & developing the local finance team (accounting, controlling, treasury).

The Successful Applicant

Senior Accounting Manager – International Start up – ESG

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance / Business Administration / Accounting
• 5 years of Accounting experience
• BIG4 experience (External Audit / Accountancy) is a must
• Strong knowledge of the Belgian Accounting (BE GAAP) & Tax regulations. IFRS is a plus
• Ideally trilingual. At least fluency Dutch/English or French/English
• Good communication & partnering skills
• Initiative & solution oriented
• Willing to grow in a very ambitious start-up.
